    Great for arranging pre-arranged one-to-one matches.  The addition of embedded video calls adds to the "live" experience.   Free to use (and currenlty sponsored by the London Players' Backgammon League.

  • Backgammon Galaxy

    A good simple-to-use site that allows you to play strangers from their Players Lobby.   You can also enter one of their occasional Freeroll tournaments.  Free to use but they also have cash tournaments you can buy into - beware!

  • Backgammon Heroes
    https://heroes.backgammonstudio.com/
    Slightly more complex site than the previous two that offers much more functionality which can be a little overwhelming to new users.  Free to use but the premium version is pushed a lot. 

  • DailyGammon
    www.dailygammon.com
    DailyGammon is postal chess meets Backgammon meets the internet. It comes with a health warning as it is highly addictive.

  • Extreme Gammon (XG)
    www.extremegammon.com/default.aspx
    ​The foremost Backgammon software. A free version can be downloaded for your i-Pad or i-Phone. If you are going to buy any BG software - this is the one.
